Be better if the people who vote also provide a comment -- it is a discussion board after all.

Ideally those who vote would be those who've read/bought the magazine, but we can't really enforce that so keep your internet poll broomstick of skepticalness ... ? ? ..... or whatever to hand when reviewing the results.

be extra handy if you could say which bits you really did/didn't like, what you'd like tweaked or added and so forth.

Hey folks. So, we recently celebrated 20,000 Likes on our Facebook page (thanks, all!) and we asked you for your suggestions on what you want to see more of in the magazine. Well, the results are in and the clear favourite was… more articles on building scenery and terrain!

Well, we live to please, so we're discussing some ideas and hatching some plans. We've been looking back over past scenery articles for ideas and we need some more of your help. We want to know: what is your favourite scenery or terrain building article, and why? Let us know in the comments…

The Eavy Metal challenge in particular is a treat (wow!).

The colour theory by the Eavy Metal team also looks to be a great article.

Chris Peach is one of my favourite GW staffers, so seeing his fully converted Order army up close is a real treat.

Pete Foley's tournament article is great too, and the 4-way battle report looks neat.

Lots of good painting and AoS content so it gets a 10/10 for me.

Saturday post has come and gone and again no White Dwarf. So, per my standard, two points off right away for being late. I will rate the issue once received (likely 12 to 14 days from now). Since I started the monthly subscription with the "new" monthly WD, I have received the White Dwarf on date of release once, on the Saturday after release twice, and every other time had to call for a replacement copy when it failed to arrive by the following Friday, so my typical receipt date has been 12 days after release date. If wondering, yes, I typically do get the mailed copy eventually, usually two to three days after the replacement copy with two mailed copies never having arrived. You may ask why do I bother calling for a replacement if I do usually get the mailed copy. 1) I have no way of knowing for sure if and when I will get the mailed copy so to remove the uncertainty 2) It is GW policy that if you have not received your issue by the Friday following the release date it is officially considered late 3) principal and my way of letting GW know that they were late (again) 4) to experience some small satisfaction that at GW’s growing financial loss on my subscription due to the cost of shipping 8 out of 11 issues at their expense since I realistically have no other way of influencing or changing GW’s performance.

I probably like many others who subscribed to the monthly WD recently received a renewal reminder about my 12-issue subscription expiring in September. My first thought was to laugh at the prospect of renewing given the horrendous delivery performance. My sound thought was why am I getting a notice about my subscription ending with September’s issue if I am still due 3 complimentary months due to the various screw ups. I think this just shows just how screwed up their subscription service is.

The delivery issues really have distracted from what has been some good content with only IMHO a couple of issues that were mediocre and in deed taken a shine off of what has been a remarkable last 12 months for GW and my hobby.

Consequently, I will be glad when my subscription expires, and the frustration with the delivery issues fades into memory as I will no longer being dealing with them.

First, let me say that my experience has been identical to yours. Most issues arrives WEEKS late, and having more replacement issues sent out than not.

I contacted GW about this renewal notice and they said that the subscription renewal notices are sent out automatically, while the extra months are added manually and not part of the notice system. They assured me that the extra months were there. I was also told that if I wanted to renew, to wait until after my November issue (when my sub should run out) before renewing because it will create a second subscription rather than adding on to the old one, and I'd get doubles of the last couple issues.

It is not optimal, but I do plan to renew my subscription. Their delivery service is terrible on a level I've never seen before (and hope never to see again), but their customer service has been top notch. Every issue that has been over a week late (of which there were many), they've dutifully sent out a replacement that has, without exception, arrived before the original eventually arrives. So, all things told, I paid for 12 months, but I'm getting 15 months and have had extras of 6 issues (so far) that I've given to a friend. Having to contact customer service every month is a minor annoyance (at this point, I have a form letter that I just change the missing issue's month), but they've never not come through.

It's my hope that they fix this embarrassing lateness and soon, but I know that if they don't, they will make it right. It's weird, but it's my faith in their customer service which has convinced me to renew.
