The sculpting work is excellent but they look rather anorexic. How on earth did you sculpt that, I have to ask?

Yeah the sculpting is pretty good, but they do look awfully thin (thighs particularly).

The torso is extended:

The legs are extended just above the knee and the soles are thickened, arms are spaced out wider from the shoulder and the hips are widened:

The thighs do look a little thin when you're used to GW proportions. The more I look at them, the more I prefer these to regular marines. The client will be adding various pouches, holsters and so forth.

Gaps are filled with greenstuff. Surfacing work liquid greenstuff to make sure everything is nicely blended at the end.

These are very nice looking!

Fantastic even, I'd say!

The rules of the Showcase Forum are commonly interpreted so as to require models to be painted:

This forum is to provide a place for people to show off their finished (painted) works. Please don't post any general questions when starting a thread, use the main painting and modeling forum for that instead.

Do you know of an existing thread in the general Painting and Modeling forum that features (only) pictures of finished models that is probably more at home in this forum? Then please contact a moderator via PM to have it moved.

Thanks!

A few ground rules about posting in this forum:

1) Models must be FINISHED. Complete. Done. Not-Works-In-Progress. You can decide what's finished, and we're not legislating quality here, but if you're still working on it, it goes in either Painting & Modeling or P&M Blogs. The Showcase is where you show off what you've completed and want to wow people with.

2) That means the base too. Some games/lines/types of dioramas might use unpainted/flocked bases, and if that's the case it will undoubtedly still look neat and clean and finished and we'll be able to tell by context. But for most wargaming models a completed model means a completed and nice base too.

3) This is a forum to actually show off pictures, so threads created here must contain at least one picture within the post itself. Simply posting a video or a link to another site without including a picture in the post is not acceptable, and threads like that will be moved to the regular painting and modeling forum.

Thanks!

HOWEVER, re-reading the rules, and given your stated intent that they are 'finished' in your view, at least in terms of what you're doing with them, I do believe we'll allow this here!

I'm not sure if the client is a dakkanaut or not. It'd be nice to see them painted, for sure.

Man I'd love to get my hands on these.

They're a nice conversion. I'm surprised there is a market for custom true scale conversions in the primaris era instead of just swapping in different hands/weapons onto the new models.

This job was actually put on hold when the primaris came out.

As it turns out, the client doesn't like the primaris armour and wanted a much more 'regular' marine look, just upscaled so the job went live again.
