So has anyone been able to come up with a way to take out the PS10 bomb dropping, tlt using Captain Nym?
Our local group has been trying to work out a way before our nationals comp in october.

Nym with Autoblaster Turret, Accuracy Corrector and a bid to move after the opposing Nym works well. Of course, that's not exactly a great solution since it involves using the same ship.

Nym doesn't have great post-dial movement so you should be able to predict roughly where he's going. He as 1 Agility so I've never had a problem against him just by shooting him. 10HP is a lot but he just doesn't have the survivability of other expensive ships like Miranda. HLC Dash just annihilates him, for example - you're probably looking at 3 turns of shooting to kill him, taking about 4-5 damage in return, which is a decent trade.

I think I could take him in a 1v1 setting but combine him with someone like Biggs and the Wookie he becomes a pain to put down.

Shoot him from range. He's low agility and just normal shots while keeping out of bomb range. Any hits you get on him will consistently hit him.

BBBBZ.

He'll die to sustained fire.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
4 TLT Agressors. He'll never have the time to get into range to do much damage.

Dengar, it's worked for a couple of local guys. You could also try doing something like Vader/Inquisitor with Cruise Missles, a good alpha strike and a couple of followup turns could rip him to shreds easily. Or doni with TLTs, she can regen, Nym can't unless it's S&V with a Gonk, and that's not as constant as hers.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Ion cannons are a good solution. With only one green die Nym is not dodging ion fire, and once you get an ion token on him you shut down all of his advanced sensors tricks and most of his bomb options (all of his bomb options unless he has Genius) in addition to making him a nice predictable target for the rest of your list to kill with conventional damage.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

My Scum Y-wing swarm, cleaned him up pretty good. 3 Ys with TLTs and Unhinged Astromechs, And Torkil Mux /w dorsal turret, Gonk and Inertial Dampeners. If stayed at range 3 tlts chipped him up and when he got close, he was a pilot skill zero, sitting in front of a bunch of ps 2 Ys.

2 Cruise missiles will usually see him off the board or very near it.

So i had a game against a Nym 2 ywing list last night. managed a very close win (skin of my teeth actually) with my Whisper, Kestal and Oleader list. i got extremely lucky with my first crit on Nym, Damaged Cockpit. i managed to limp to victory with 1 hull left on Whisper and that was it.

I'm retiring the Emon Nym list, for myself. Emon gives away too many points, and I am having a hard time making Cruise Missiles work on a big base.

I want to try three Lok Revenants with Ion Turrets.

Well I only own one aggressor, but barrel roll really helps keep aces out of your grill. So you don't need a baby sitter ship.
