I want a backdrop for photographing minis and battle reports, but no one really seems to sell then- thinking maybe one I can clip into the board. Anyone know anything about making or buying one?

Not quite what I'm after, I'm talking about things like this http://battleboards.co.uk/wargaming-backdrops/ - except that they haven't got any in production yet! Anyone got any ideas? I feel like I'm asking google the wrong questions...

I googled this and it might be what you are looking for. You can probably get one printed on canvas at an art store or banner shop.

In a pinch you can use your codex. The very back page and the back of the cover provide a decent neutral backdrop.

Thanks Maddok! That may be the best route to take, print it onto a canvas and work out a way of clipping it to the board...

Cheers Badablack, but I think the same issue of scale would crop up and also.... I don't own any codexes we mainly play our own system, check out www.skinflintgames.co.uk if you're interested in finding out about it

Go to a local printing shop. They usually have access to shutter stock which will give you a much wider range of images to pick from. They can also print on rigid surfaces which will make it a whole lot easier to set up your backdrop.
