For someone new getting into the game, what changes to the forces on the table do people predict?
What will happen to the Empire, what Xenoes are on the rise, and what do we think GW will put on the table?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Well the next thing to show up will be a brand new Death Guard range.

After that... I believe there was a list of the order GW are releasing the codeces in and I'd imagine that for at least a few of them there will be similtanious model releases.

(I can't even remember where I saw the list, BoLS? SpikeyBitz? Warhammer Community? Did I dream it? Can anyone help?)

The problem with that list was that it was off on the CSM/GK codex release, and likely the DG codex as well, so I would take it with a grain of salt. Order should still be correct until proven otherwise though.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Where did I see it though? Got a link?

I'm going off my impression you are talking about new models and armies, rather than lore changes.

A fairly reliable rumor monger mentioned tau would be getting some love but not "tau empire" specifically. This has led to speculation of either more auxiliary races as a mini army or farsight enclaves getting expanded into a more distinct faction.

It seems clear that, eventually, all the cult legions will become stand alone armies. It's also clear WE/EC are a good ways off

More primaris marines will be coming almost certainly. Expect that to be the bulk of SM releases for the foreseeable future.

The primarchs will be coming back, at least of all them that can without massive lore shenanigans and probably some of them as well.

Ynnari are probably a similar situation for eldar, though it's hard to say for sure. Alternatively, we may see eldar as a whole undergo a large reorganization.

Chaos eldar might be a thing as well? It's kinda teased in part of the rule book, though I suppose by that logic squats are coming back andwhile hrud and cat people will be appearing in tabletop.

I'm not sure we've heard much regarding the imperium that doesn't relate to space marines. Some speculation about new unique characters for IG, admech getting expanded upon, and sisters being finally brought out in metal, but most of this is as much wishlisting as it is actual predictions.

FW is probably going to port some 30K units to 40K, including admech, custodes, and sisters of silence.

Probably nothing, in the rush to get the books out.

Looking at how things have started I wouldn't be surprised if we keep get something like 1 Codex a month and new releases followed by 1-2 "quick" win codexes.

So if we had an Eldar month we might get a proper Ynnari faction (not just 3 characters) and then a simple book drop for Craftworld and Dark Eldar to round it off.

At least until everyone has a new book, then we might see some more expansive codexes (Kroot Mercs?)
