Sorry if this has already come up but I haven't seen it personally so I thought I would ask.

So obviously these chapter / legion tactics remove cover saves. Do they also remove save bonuses from things like the space wolves storm caller?

I would say yes myself because honestly with their tactics not coming up much I feel bad for them lol. (I am the wolf player in this scenario). But I thought I would ask others opinions.

There are no longer "cover saves".

There is only a modifier for your Save roll for being in cover.
The CT denies this modifier for being in cover.

Modifiers from other sources remain unaffected.

If the bonus from stormcaller is classified as a cover save in the description, then the IF/IW trait would negate it. If its not a cover save, it will work accordingly.

I have found the trait to be very useful, as we typically use a good deal of terrain and to see my opponent forego setting up in ruins simply because he knows he won't get a save bonus is very satisfying!

Storm caller is not a direct bonus to the save but makes the affected unit gain the benefit of being in cover, which is a +1 to the save.
Siege Masters says enemy units do not receive the benefit to their saving throw for being in cover. So Storm caller has no effect if the effected unit is shot by Imperial Fists.

The Imperial Fists/Iron Warriors Chapter Tactic/Legion Trait negates buffs that operate on an, "as if the model/unit were in cover" mechanic. Furthermore (in case this needs clarifying): Scouts with Camo Cloaks (or the like) do not receive any bonus to their save for being in cover.

That's what I thought. It really is a situational but pretty useful tactic. Thanks guys.
