Well, khorne beserkers can do the job, you just have to get them to melee while avoiding the hellblasters. I have found hellblasters to be the biggest pains. Possibly a rhino can help getting them in somewhat safely. You can also pick up two Hillsdale with flamers. That might be a bit cheese but that can cause him to have some fire priorities. They will make short work of a squad of primaris, especially together. All while your rhino rushes in. The terminators just are a point sink, especially if they don't get the charge.

To me, the key to beating marines has always been to make them take saves. A 3+ was good, but if you gotta roll it more than a couple times, its gunna fail.

Now that armor pen is different, heavy bolters and assault cannons got amazing. As well as sternguard special issue bolters.

Make use of high-volume shots. make him take saves.

Combi-plasma instead of combi-meltas on the termies. Hit them with the mark of Slaanesh so you can double shoot them. Deepstrike them within 12" of at least 2 of his most threatening units, and deepstrike the lord behind them. Overcharge everything, because you're re-rolling ones (with the lord), and then you endless Cacaphony Strategem to double shoot the termies. Should wipe two units straight off the table in a single turn.

I'd also suggest a sorcerer with jump pack to deep strike where needed. ATM I think we have the best psychic powers in the game.

Night Lord XIII Company: 6,600 Points, 12W-4L
Skaven Cheese-stealer Renegade Cult: 2,000 points, 0-0
Warboss Spine Squisha's Ork Warband: 3,000 Points, 1W-3L
Carcharadons Astra: 2000 Points, 11-2
Drukhari: 1250 Points, 2-0

Throw giant demons gak at them. Primaris marines are the new paradigm of human elite. The only way you will get through them is by being a true believer of Chaos. Use cultists as meat shields, have demons crawl up from under the ground behind them. Get colorful. Helldrakes to decapitate inceptors. Forgefiends to out dakka Hellblasters . fleshmetal everything. Use a lot of psychic powers while being nightlords so they take it hard. Jump packs on all your characters so they bounce around like terror inducing lunatics.
This is just an outside view. Never played as chaos, just against them. You have to be creative because Space Marines, compared to your space marines are better in every way, with the exception of chosen but they get expensive fast.

And remember Intessor's have 3 different rifles, and hellblasters have 3 different plasma guns. the assault one being a very scary at mulching your marines.

Given his list, I think terminators are ill-advised.

They play into hellblasters strengths and you'd probably be better served by a longer range or faster unit.

Froth at the top, dregs at the bottom, but the middle - excellent

Given the Primaris weapons are mostly 30inch rapid fire, there are quite few things in Chaos Marine army that outrange them in mass. So suggest go several Berserker or Possessed units in Rhinos, better be the Berserkers, because they can be troops in WE legion. And take a Helldrake to draw fire. His list generally lack the ability to deal with massed T7 W10+ above models quick. There will be something reach his line and chop / burn the marine to death.

Not anymore. I do agree with your recommendations all the same. I would just do two helldrakes with two rhinos full of beserkers. With a decent HQ, you probably have some points to spare as well. The heldrake should hopefully keep him busy for a bit while the rhinos rush forward.

Or failing that; get a quad gun and cut the barrel parts off, then attach the barrels to heavy bolters for a really easy and convincing conversion

Wut? Why would spend that much money when FW just makes autocannons for space marines.
