Finished this guy up last week, happy with the result over all. Almost went with a more detailed base but I felt the miniature already had enough details.

Yeah, I gotta admit, that's an incredible paint job. The white background and high quality really does make it reminiscent of the Games Workshop website.

Definitely made the right choice regarding the base. When a model is that noisy and has that much going on, I agree the best thing is to have a simple base like you've done.

Model looks great.

They look like literal machine spirits...

Surely! They were meant to be "Machine Spirits", but fluff wise that doesn't make much sense, so now I am thinking they are holo-projections to confuse the enemy. May run them as Inquisitorial Crusaders to soak up wounds?

Excellent paintjob and even better photography. I agree that the base could have made the model a bit busy. liking the machine spirits to.

I hate to be that guy but can get tell me how you achieved the effect? I have seen these ghostly type models before but didn't know how to paint them. Thanks!
