I did watch the video, as I definitely did want to check out your stuff! -- Some really good looking Deathwatch models, for sure. Pretty much anything Deathwatch has been my favorite novels from the Black Library...so much stories wrapped into one Chapter, gives a GREAT respect for the mini's when you also appreciate the Lore a bit, as well. At least for me!
I do agree with some of the others though, that some nice pictures would be awesome to look at too (and would only do your painting more justice!), it's definitely a different experience for the audience than video.
They are nice - but the rules of the Showcase forum do indicate that pics need to be in these threads too, so off to the P&M forums, and please PM a mod to move this back once there are pics here - thanks!
people who prefer photos have never tried paintjobs that have color shifting or different finishes on differnt parts of the model. my nids have matte coat on thier skin and their carapace has ardcoat . plus they have a metallic carapace with washes to give a color shifting look.
Something I've noticed is that a lot of really good painters will just completely forget about mold lines and badly assembled work. It's like a blind spot in their creative process. I had an amazing painter friend who was awful about this, and I would have to literally take his models away from him and clean all the lines and properly glue them just so these amazing paint jobs weren't put on sub-par models.

Or just, you know they may be sitting in a public place or on a break at work or not want to use up so much data. Or many other myriad reasons why not to play a YouTube video.

Some of us prefer photos to videos. How on earth did you make the connection that "Photos = lack of painting technique"?
