In the new chaos book it says under "drachnyen" roll d6 each time abaddon fights...etc

So does this mean even if I use his talon of Horus, I must still roll the d6 but I don't get the extra attacks. That's how it looks when I read it.

Can someone confirm?

It works the same way it did before. It doesn't matter what weapon you fight with, you'll still follow that entire rule. If that gets you extra attacks, then you get them.

Well that's not correct. In the previous book it states pg30 " if the bearer has multiple melee weapons, only roll a d6 if he choices to attack with the daemon weapon"

In the new codex there is no "daemon weapon" rule so it's not the same

The rule is now under draknyen. Which I find odd if I chose to use the talon but still need to roll d6

Because it's no different to the Chainsword's rule. It happens "each time Abaddon the Armless fights", not "fights with Drach'nyaa desu~". You get the bonus attacks with the Talon, but you also risk punching yourself in the face with it too.
