Thanks for the nice bat rep,

The DOW did pretty well, unexpectedly I have no good memories playing against lizardmen with the auto-wound hits of the salamanders, and all the skinks swirling around,
hard to tackle with a night gobbo army^^

I just registered and I am looking forward to what's going to happen in the Classic Hammer universe.

Salamanders don't auto-wound, but they DO roll an artillery die for hits, and those HIT, you don't have ballistic skill in it at all.

Also, I just got back in town, I will get the registrations sorted tonight.

Wow, DOW held their own with no Regiments of Renown. Awesome!

This match proved several points:

Dice will do WHATEVER they want.

Lizardmen can indeed fail LD checks.

Cav units don't destroy everything on the charge.

The Magic phase does NOT decide the game.

Combat bonus, and by extension rank bonus, is the most key element to a unit.

Stupidity is a pain in the rear.

If I learned anything from this is that the Slann provides SEVERAL key things other than just magic superiority. That, and baiting charges better would have helped a LOT.

Yeah, that's what I meant, Auto-hit, not auto-wound.

Sorry.

I am just doing a battlerep on a High Elves vs Empire 1000 Points game. As soon as I have finished it in German, I will see to it that I get it translated to English and upload it here too.
