They have some really cheap prices. Has anyone done buisness with them before?
I'd like to pick up one of their items.

Thanks!

As the same poster has just had their repeat trade thread locked in the swap shop, this is possibly an attempt to direct traffic to their ebay account I guess. Not a very good attempt, but..

I don't think it's his ebay account, because he has posted other threads with his own ebay.

Thank being said - OP you did ask about this seller once previously.

Yeah it's not my account. Sorry for the repost.

I was hoping for the increasingly rare constructive "yes I have, and it was good" reply from somone before I sank $105 on a bootleg line breaker Squad.

I'd toss the money at him since Paypal is pretty good about getting your money back if it turns out to be a scam, or a forgery, or what have you, but no firsthand experience here.

Yeah I have surprisingly. I bought Betrayal at Calth for 84$ with free shipping. It came it on the third or fourth day (Reno? to Southern California), before I even got the confirmation email of "its on its way". Highly recommend it.

How is he making any money?

One of the negative feedback he has received is he bought the item with a stolen credit card? Maybe something not so legal going on? I've heard of people selling stuff they don't actually have in stock on Ebay by buying it themselves with a stolen card and then just having it shipped to the buyer on ebay.

I have purchased from them. I bought a Talons of the Emperor box for $100 shipped about a month and a half ago. It came directly from GW, so while I'm not sure how he's making any money, and I certainly hope I'm not an accessory in any crimes, my overall experience was positive.

From my understanding, it is/was a way for people who had stolen card info to test cards and maintain some deniability before really going nuts with them.

For awhile there was similar nonsense going on with regards to Domino's Pizza and people using stolen credit cards to make the orders as a way to test if the card info they had was legit, have them delivered to people they didn't know and Domino's had to revamp their whole online ordering system.

They make money by buying the product from GW with stolen credit card information, having it shipped to you as an anonymous gift (so neither the price nor the purchaser's information will show up on the invoice), and then pocketing all the money you paid on eBay. I was "scammed" this way before, and I only figured out it was a scam after the eBay seller claimed he couldn't send the product, refunded my money... and then I still received it, except directly from GW. (The eBay seller thought the stolen credit card information he was using to buy my product didn't go through, which is why he refunded me the money. Turns out, the information went through, the product was just delayed.)

If the invoice doesn't have the buyer's information or the product's price, you can contact GW, ask them for that information, and then compare it to the eBay seller's information and the price you paid. This'll help you figure out if stolen credit card information was used to purchase the product that was sent to you. (Spoiler: Stolen credit card information was used to purchase the product that was sent to you.)

The bad news is that, in doing business with someone like that, you're giving your name, address, and possibly other information (whatever they can glean via eBay or PayPal) to people who engage in wholesale identity theft and credit card fraud, which puts you on their radar. (About a month after my experience, my bank contacted me to let me know about some suspicious activity. I can't be certain there was a connection, but it was a mighty weird coincidence.)

(Please note that I'm not talking about this specific seller. I'm not sure if he's engaged in that sort of scam, although it's pretty likely if you're paying ~60% of the webstore price to an eBay seller and then you're receiving it directly from GW.)

How do they get away with it so long? I ask because this seller has several hundred reviews within the past year. If that's what they're doing, is it just hard to catch them at it?

You can buy credit card details by the fistful if you know where to go, downside of that is you're not necessarily going to know which ones are still valid. Hence this scheme.

Because most people will take advantage of an illegal deal before reporting it, then feel obliged to not report them afterwards.

According to what I read after the whole scamming experience, they supposedly hire established eBay sellers. I bet if you go back over the older reviews, you'll find the seller used to sell completely different products.

You can look up "triangulation fraud" for more information about it.

Just a warning, I'm having issues with this seller right now. I ordered an item on 9/17/2017 from this seller and he has not provided any tracking numbers. I've also sent two messages asking for shipping confirmation, but he hasn't responded to them. I can open a claim in two days, which I will be doing. Save yourself the headache and order from another seller. I thought I was getting a good deal for the Dark Imperium set, but all I got was a headache. If this seller truly is a triangulation scammer, I'd imagine the owner of the credit card he used to order my item has had the charges cancelled, which resulted in the item never being shipped.

Seems like everything in the last month hasn't been delivered. I suggest anyone who bought from him open a dispute because you ain't getting your product.
