So I'm new to Bolt Action and I'll be getting the Us Airborne from two of the Band of Brothers starter sets, 48 in total!

I've figured out that that should be plenty enough for a standard size game, and with a little conversion work I can make anything I need for an Airborne Force.

I know I'll need to add some armored support units and I'm leaning toward an M18 Hellcat.

Here's the list I've come up with:

Vet: 2Lt w/ 1x Soldier both with SMG's

Reg: Medic

Reg: FAO

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x7 - AT Grenades, 1x LMG, 1x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x7 - AT Grenades, 1x LMG, 1x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x10- AT Grenades, 2x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Vet: Bazooka Team

Vet: .30 Cal MMG Team

Vet: Sniper Team w/ 1x SMG

Reg: M18 Hellcat w/ Recce

Total: 999pts

I'm really wanting to find a way to squeeze the points in for the pintle mounted HMG on the M18, but have no idea what I'm doing.

Any suggestions, input, or advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

if i were you, i would put the jeep's smg on the hellcat, in ordrer to transport your bazooka team. The jeep is fast and small enough to hide behind terrains and go deliver the bazooka team at close range.
You could also turn a unit to regular to spare some points and add a mortar or a light howitzer, these things are rather useful.

Looks good otherwise.

Thanks.

I don't have any jeeps yet, but I've reworked the list a little to maybe give a better fire base while advancing with the Para Squads.

Let me know what you think.

HQ:

Vet: 2Lt w/ 1x Soldier both with SMG's

Reg: Medic

Reg: FAO

Infantry:

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x7 - AT Grenades, 1x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x7 - AT Grenades, 1x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Vet: Paratrooper Squad x8- AT Grenades, 2x SMG, NCO w/ SMG

Supoort:

Vet: Bazooka Team

Vet: .30 Cal MMG Team x2

Vet: M2 Light Mortar Team

Armor:

Reg: M18 Hellcat w/ Recce, Pintle HMG

Total: 999pts

In this list I removed the LMG's from the Para Squads, figure they should be moving instead of hanging still, and added an extra MMG Support Team. I swapped out the Sniper Team for a Light Mortar. I also added the Pintle HMG to the Hellcat to add the bit of Flak to deter enemy aircraft.

Any suggestions?

I'd suggest you try the list out. I wouldn't feel conident about a light mortar, and keep in mind it can only shoot at units in sight. but ohterwise i think that it looks like a good list so far.
