Hi Everyone!

Been quite busy with this project recently and made a lot of headway with colour matching!

So far I'm only focusing on matching GW colours at the moment (The latest kind) as these seem to be the most used colours as well as having the broadest range of shades. One of the toughest challenges has been creating metallic shades but I have had success in matching up the Leadbelcher shade that provides just as good coverage as the GW paint but with added mileage.

You can see the initial discussion where this all started as well as some reviews from other Dakka Users who were lucky enough to get a sample pack.

I'll have some more pictures up soon of the bottle sizes that will be available and some of my own painted models including my poor harlequin space marine who has been through quite a bit in this project, but for now here is a orge I printed off from OpenTactics that was painted entirely with the sample packs that the other Dakka users received just by mixing the colours using the super small nozzle on the dropper bottles.

For now, Here is a list of the current converted colours, if anyone has any suggestions of which colours I should put more focus on I'd love to know as all these paints will be available in 100ml bottles (at nearly 50% cheaper than buying the equivalent from other brands), perfect for those of you who use a single colour an awful lot for armies.

Just found this post.
Awesome.
Been enjoying what your paints are doing for my home-mixed airbrush colors.
I use soapy water, an acrylic artist's tint for bulk, some standard tube acrylic for flow and some of the INSTAR paints for hardness and man, this recipe is working so well in my cheap airbrush. Really, amazing - a new dimension of hobby for me, something that I have always wanted to be able to do - I love the DIY with the predictable results - and it doesn't work without the INSTAR paints to get the paint to set up and stay strong. Without the INSTAR, the paint dries too soft, and scratches off of the models too easily.
With the INSTAR, the stuff dries hard, sticks well to bare metal and bare plastic without undercoat, and makes it possible for me to spray indoors with the airbrush at a fraction of the price of dedicated airbrush paints with the flexibility to make any color that I want.
By the way, I wonder if you are selling kits?
I am interested in a sort of primary colors set, maybe 12 colors in maybe 20ml or 50 ml bottles.
I wonder if you are marketing any other kits?
Anyways, you might check out the new hobby thread in P&M Blogs, here:

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for the update, glad to hear things are going well

I have thought about kits such as green shades, red shades etc, but for now, I just need to concentrate on really getting everything set up so I can start selling the paint, though it might be a while with work and funds, but i'm about halfway there so it shouldn't be much longer!

I've ordered a few of the various sizes i'm looking to sell for another post, but i'm still waiting for them to arrive, in the meantime, i'm just working on the website.

I have that blog as a sticky tab so I can keep up to date on the progress and see the paint in use.

Yeah man.
Thanks for following along.
I will take a kit for my man Apocritas too, when you are ready.
Give him for Xmas!
He will never expect it!
Unless he reads this thread...
