We're hoping to attend a team tournament later this year, and we want to do different ork clans. I got snakebites, which I will use the Feral Ork list for. The army is composed to allow me to have some fun modelling and painting and is low in model count so I have enough time to paint all of it.

HQ- Warboss w/ power claw, choppa, eavy armor, shiny bitz, big horns, attack squig

Nob w/ eavy armor, shiny bitz, 'uge choppa, waagh banner, big horns

4 Nobz w/ eavy armor, shiny bitz, 'uge choppa

Troops- 18 Madboyz, Pigdok w/ 3 styboyz, rokkit launcha

Heavy Support- Gargantuan Squiggoth w/ Zzap gun, Lobba, 4X twinlinked rokkit launchas, 5X bolt-on big shootaz

It comes to exactly 1000 points in 45 models. I have never played Orks before so was wondering whether there was an obvious combo I need or superflous wargear which I can get rid of. This list isn't built to win, but rather to reflect the feel of the Snakebite Clan. Plus, I love using squiggoths in Dawn of War, and this is an attempt at recreating that. The HQ unit will be transported in the squiggoth with the madboyz on either flank. If anything, I think this army could take enough shots to buy my teammate some extra time to get into combat with the faster Ork units (one teammate is Deathskullz, another Bad Moons, and fourth is undecided).

You may want to swap out the Lobba for Kannon. Chances are your not going to hide behind terrain with the squiggy as every other gun needs LOS.

Its also Ordnance, with all the good things ordnance brings.

I have never played Ferals before, but I assume 'Uge choppas are the same for them as other orks...which is huge worthless POS.

You would be much better off with 2 pks then 4 uge choppas. Are the 5 nobs in the warboss Retuine? If so, the Waaagh Banner guy doesn't need Big horns.

I am not sure on this one, but can Squiggies take BoBS?
