Warhammer would be nothing without the dedicated community of hobbyists who support it. Everyone knows someone who is a hero of the hobby in their area – from a friend who was willing to run a great local club, to the hard-working organisers of tournaments, painting competitions and those who happily share their expertise online for the good of fellow fans.
We want to reward those hobbyists with a little something to recognise what they’ve done for the Warhammer community, so we’re introducing Warhammer Heroes.
You hobbyists out there will be able to nominate who you think is worthy of such an accolade and tell us why. Then we’ll reward the best of them with official recognition of their awesomeness, including a suitably impressive looking medal!
As far as online goes I'm voting for MongooseMatt as he's the Review MVP of AoS, Shinros the LoreMaster who solved so many peoples questions on the setting, Bottle for Hinterlands and general amazing talent and Auticus for the old Azyr system and his unbiased appraisal of the game and it's balance.
Lego, Yak and venerable Russ come to mind, along with Tim DuPertuis founder of Armorcast and Inquisitor, a fanzene from the pre-internet days filled with house rules, art, photos and cool stuff.

And Ben Curry for making TGA, the #1 forum destination for AoS. Dave Witek of Garagehammer fame for his extensive reviews of battle tomes and campaign books. And I mean extensive.

"Sometimes the only victory possible is to keep your opponent from winning." - The Emperor, from The Outcast Dead.
"Tell your gods we are coming for them, and that their realms will burn as ours did." -Thostos Bladestorm
I say we all conspire to get Nick from Chapterhouse Studios nominated. He was the one who stood up to GW when everyone else was caving in and scurrying back to their hidey holes.
I vote for Duncan Rhodes. I want to see him paint with this thing pinned to his chest
'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'
- Nemesor Zahndrekh of the Sautekh Dynasty Overlord of the Crownworld of Gidrim

Seconded.
And I vote for nominating anyone to do with AoS support as a Villain, not a Hero.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

I think Ben deserves a huge amount of credit for getting the AoS community together online, especially in the early days when he was having to deal with nasty threatening and bullying behaviour from the 9th Age community.
He's been well rewarded by GW as a result though, so not sure he needs the accolade.
I'd second a nomination for Atom Smasher. He's putting out some fantastic content, with no real Patreon begging. The content is strong enough to make people want to support him, same as The Honest Wargamer. But I don't think GW is going to give an award to Rufio!

Great shout on Dunkie Rhodes! He inspired me to get painting again after a very long hiatus from Warhammer with his great videos.
All of the new WD team deserve a vote as well for rescuing the magazine from the ashes. (It hasn't quite reached the heights of the Paul Sawyer years yet but I remain optimistic)

I'd agree on Ben being worthy of a nomination for the reason you listed, but as you say, maybe he's already gotten a pad on the back from GW as it is. Same goes for Scrollbuilder-Tony, who would be an instant-nominee if GW haven't already taken his creation to heart.
So I think Vince Venturella of Warhammer Weekly, as the best AoS content online in my opinion - And that's not to even mention his wealth of hobby tutorials that are great too. All of which is done with no donations, Patreon or anything. Actually I'm a surprised he only has 8k subscribers.

Unfortunately you can not vote for Games Workshop employees.

We could always nominate that crazy guy who tried to sue GW for 65 million dollars (or some such amount).

Outer Circle, because GW needs to listen to his candid reviews of there products, he loves the products but hates all the BS that comes with them sometimes.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.
