I don't think I've seen a thread on this yet.
Just started watching The Tick, and it seems pretty fun so far. Haven't watched any of the previous versions, so no idea on how it compares. But it seems like a fun time waste.

It's solid. It's like a mashup of the cartoon and Dr. Horrible with a bit of Adam West's Batman for good measure. I don't think its the best version of the character yet, but it might get there as things evolve.

The Tick is definitely channeling the voice of Alan West at least. Also the show feels darker than I remember the Tick being but it's been awhile since I've seen anything else from it.
Cliffhanger!

I am a huge fan of the Patrick Warburton version. He really made it fun to watch, and made it apparent the Tick was having a blast. Batmanuel is positively delightful.
I saw the first episode of this one and it's definitely good, although very serious by the Tick standards. Thanks for the reminder the whole series is out now though, I'll have to see how it develops!

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.

I have been waiting for it since I saw the pilot ep some months ago.
It hasn't disappointed.

Was the run better than the pilot ?
The pilot was well made but I felt it wasn't quite bright and daft enough as they shoehorned in mandatory hero grimdark which detracted from its 'Tick-ness'

It has a wonderful mix of serious, corny, irrelevant, and cheese.
One of my favorites so far has been "Alexa, play ominous music" and "cliffhanger!"

"Alexa, play ominous music", and the vacuum cleaner.
The Terror keeps catching me as Dr Evil, but that was the point of the latter.

Quality wise, the run is about on par with the pilot. This initial story arc is pretty much entirely about injecting more Tick-ness into the series, but it probably doesn't fully commit until the 5th or 6th episode.

Also it's not the full thing as I understand it, just the first half.

Dad Tick having "the talk" is pretty fantastic along those lines.

It has been pretty good so far.
The 90's cartoon has lots of crazy stuff that I hope finds its way into the show.

I enjoyed it like I've enjoyed every incarnation of the Tick. I'd say that this version is doing a better job of the action-y stuff than the Warburton stuff; less comedic though. I think the current run needs to work on a couple of good supporting characters like Batmanuel to really find it's stride.
