Ok, so I tried searching for one, no go, so let's discuss; the good, the bad, the crotchety blind people. Pics are up all over of Josh Brolin as Cable, but does he look TINY to anyone? I know we aren't getting the 'roided out Cable from the comics, but he seems shrimpy to me. Any thoughts?

1) I think he looks fine:

(Better then any version of him by Liefeld! )

2) June 2018 is a ways away...

I was skeptical they'd be able to make Cable look not goofy, but hey they fething did it. I think that looks really on the mark for the character.

Im starting to get the impression that Josh Brolin can do no wrong......am I correct in thinking that or am I forgetting something he sucked in

The only way they're getting someone big enough to look like he does in the comics is if they hired a wrestler/bodybuilder/etc.

I'd rather he be a bit smaller and get an actor.

I think he looks good. I don't want some comically oversized person for the job, he looks right.

Really all they needed was a grizzled drill sergeant kind of guy. If Clint Eastwood weren't so old now he'd be perfect for the role I think.

Hahaa hell yea he would be! I think Brolin has the chops to easily pull this character off. This is a good pick in my mind.

Now if only the DCU could do simular and we get some good DC movies. And Im talking good movies, not "well its decently good if you watch the special edition with subtitles on and the Dark side of the moon playing in the background to sink it up with your emotional self"

The guy who plays the human commander in Avatar would've been a pretty good fit IMO. Brolin's not terrible, though.

I thought the human commander from the blue people movie was Brolin?

Stephen Lang was the gentleman from "Avatar".

Brolin was awesome in MiB3. He was creepily good as a young K.

Oh, Brolin was young K? Sounds good then. Although Lang still would have been my #1 choice, especially as he was going for the part. He is to Cable what Reynolds is to Deadpool. I just hope Brolin can do the job. I guess I'm the only one on here thinking he looks a bit skinny for the role.

I'll direct you to Avatar, where all he needs is a metal arm and flashing eye to look like a modern comic Cable stepped off the pages. Yes, Lang is more muscular than Brolin.

So your argument is "Brolin is a good actor and was awesome in Sicario" while my argument is "Lang is a good actor and looks like a dead ringer for Cable". That look about right to you? I haven't insulted Brolin's acting chops at all. I just said Lang looks the part and having seen him in Avatar, I have no doubt to his abilities to play Cable. Most I've said against Brolin is that he looks a bit scrawny.

I think Lang would have been a great pick, however, I think they were going for a younger Cable to be able to keep up with Deadpool. Lang might have been a bit old for what they wanted. That is my theory anyways.

I am honestly not worried about Brolins size. Comic heroes are generally super beefy and would be almost impossible to imitate in real life. Look at Wolverine. In the comics, he is so much bigger than anything Hugh Jackman could ever dream of achieving. But man, he does a great job playing him.

I think I know what you're going for here, but...in the comics, Wolverine is like...5'4" max!

Wow, Cable look's fantastic. Although why is he using 9mm magazines?

If this is anywhere near as good as the first one I can't wait to see this.

His gun is apparently several guns that make no sense combined altogether.

I just like that he's resting all of the weight of the gun on the scope.

Might as well be using iron sights at that point.

I also noticed this. It's like someone took the bottom of a Vector, slapped an AK stock onto it, the top of an M4, the barrel cover thingy of the AR14 or something like it, and the muzzle break off of an anti-tank rifle XD

Or you know. Whatever any of the proper names for those things are
