I'mmmmmm Baaaaack.....

Long time wargamer, and almost as long time dakka-goer, i've returned to herald the coming of the end of days...or to bring yet more annoying and sarcastic comments to an already over-saturated forum...one of the two.

Let's see... Used to play battletech with my older brother (yes, I was the annoying younger brat your friend was always saddled with), got into 40k in high school (along with D&D and other gateways drugs, snorting D20's with strangers in the back of their vans), and used to have an account here eons ago (Raven, back in '00 or '01, had an '@dakkadakka.com' email address.)

Mostly a 40k player (as nearly no one even knows what battletech is anymore it seems, and I lost my lance of metal mini's in a move *cry* ), but even then I haven't really played a game since 4th. Started marines at the very end of 2nd, switched to orks in 3rd, had an imperial guard army for awhile too, and finally rocked a kroot merc army when the rules came out in white dwarf (my favorite!).

Stopped playing for awhile after that, when the local (hah! 1 hour drive...) store closed down. Slowly picked up a sisters army on ebay over the years, as I fell in love with evicerators playing my kroot mercs (polly wanted salsa with her cracker!). Haven't played a proper non-proxy game with them yet, actually still in the 'building' phase of the whole process, but i've bought the occasional rulebook over the years and kinda did the whole dreaming about it thing.

Well, i'm still dreaming, but hey...dreams sometimes come true, and maybe one day i'll finally get my girls on the table and start having fun like I used to (...back in my day, when dinosaurs roamed the earth).

So, here I am! Mildly drunk, a (very infrequent) poster on Bolter & Chainsword (under the same name), and staring in mute horror at all the mutant squigs that snuck into the background fluff for 40k with the rest of the 8th edition plot bunnies. (Hence, the drinking... Skal!)

Hi,

Welcome back to Dakka
