What are you wishing for in the upcoming rulebook?

I'm looking forward to the compiled fortification stuff, but i'm wishing upon a star that the psychic powers get nerfed back to the 6th edition versions (invsibility, daemonology, technomancy..), and that the psychic power manifestation method goes back to 6th edition too.

I want barrage weapons, templates and blasts to be stopped by buildings, and confined to a particular floor of the building.

I want multi-bombing back.

I wouldn't mind a movement stat difference between Astartes and non-Astartes.

Definetly getting psychic powers under control

THIS! I really want the assassin clades and maybe even tech priest assassins a la Remiare as agents. It would be interesting to see if the assassins could have actually taken out Horus rules wise (I don't know how they'd do Vanus Clade, messing with reinforcements maybe?)

I don't necessarily want the psychic powers changed, but I want the system to be changed. 8th edition has a nice and simple system, that doesn't make psykers batteries for the main guy (Magnus mostly) that gets to cast powers.

Modifiers for powerful psykers, roll with two dice etc. I think it could work nicely with 7th edition as well.

Other than the psychic stuff I just want clarifications and more fleshed out rules in general. They have made many FAQs for 7th edition. Take all those, and get all the fules up to date for the final, ultimate 7th edition rulebook for Horus Heresy.

Alpharius? Never heard of him.

1. Fix certain problem Psychic powers. (Looking at you Invisibility.)
2. Clean up the scattered special rules that are all over the place.
3. Adjust a few points costs for units here and there.
-Reavers and some WE units could use point adjustments.
-Quad mortars are just a bit too good for their cost. (And I still use them.)
4. Magnus is too dang good. I say this as a Thousand Sons player. Just tweak him a bit.

Recasts are like Fight Cub. No one talks about it, but more people do it then you realize.

Oh also I would like characters to be able to get access to void hardened armor, might help balance a bit vs quad mortars. Definetly increase points cost of quad mortars.

Yeah, i'd like a comprehensive list of all special rules - 'hardened armour' is such a pita to find when you're trying to just play a game!

Oh also, I would love some cavalry a la Rough Riders for Imperialis Militia. Also some kind of non-superheavy transport for Militia as well. But mostly cavalry, honestly can't believe they weren't already included.

That is a good point - the cult/militia list is basically a loveletter to anyone who owns imperial guard models and it does seem like an oversight not to include the roughriders.

But maybe there's a fluff reason for it? like, perhaps the horses only got used when the supply of landraiders dried up from the heresy?

Idk, but i think people would like to see them get some HH rules just so we'd see them on the tabletop.

8th Ed "magic" phase to replace the pay phase completely, it's the best system gw has come up with.... just leave the magic spells alone though, we don't want those.

Complete ground level work up of the psychic powers, at least try to make each law worth taking.

Charge range no longer random.
