Sooooo thinking some of this new Nurgle stuff might make some cool 30k stuff. The tank and wierd robot thing could definetly work for maybe Medusas, or some creature for Cybernetica, or even counts as Ogryns in Militia? Thoughts?

Perhaps a Medusa or even Vindicator?

Something for Mechanicum or even counts as Ogryns?

I'm honestly not seeing it.
Some of the plagur marines would look good for late period death guard
(Tho I guess as siege of terra they were fully blown plague marines)

The bloat drones could make a base model for a particularly goopy vulturax conversion

Well that bottom robot thing reminded me a lot of the AI robot killing machine from that Mechanicum 30k book. The tank though I could see as a Siege tank for that order reductor "make your own tank" choice, or for representing some esoteric local pattern of Siege tank for Militia or solar auxilia

I think both of the above models hearken back to earlier editions of 40k as far as style, which I kinda like. Don't know how well they would look in the relatively uniform world of the 30k Legions that we have come to expect thanks to FW.

any of the plague marines would make for good characters/sergeants but that's about all you could get away with.

The one with the big gun, with some cutting, and sanding might make an okay reductor artillery tank. Maybe with the colosis bombard.

Typhus, Grave Wardens and Blightlords (with grenade launchers as Deathshrouds) might be acceptable, but it's the same thing like with the TS stuff - on some point it's no longer HH aesthetics.

I disagree for the DG, it fits the late HH siege of Terra theme since the DG corruption was an all at once event rather than a gradual mutation over millennia. I'd paint the armor to more reflect the original paint scheme and there's the issue of scale but with truescaling it'll fit right in if you used other models. I would try and add a few Horus Heresy bits to add the extra vibe but they don't technically need it.

I think TS can fit but I agree with you there, old artwork like Phosis T'Kar look close enough to act like a bridge of the two styles (hint FW hint ), but I'd mix a lot more than the DG in this case. I honestly don't know when the rubric happened in comparison to the siege of Terra though.

For the siege tank that has a lot of possibilities, especially as legion siege tanks if you trim away the chaos bits (for my loyalists at least) and add a few marine bits and gubbins. Could also work as vindicators too now that I think about it. I may pick up one when they come out, worst case it'll go to the Ork Mek pile .

The problem with DG models lies in the rules. 40k models represent the rotten, bloated version of the legion, that is tough as nails and doesn't feel pain. But paying them as 30k Marines they are no more resilient than the regular marine, so there is a problem between the visual feel and the in-game effect. If someone's fine with it - no problem, but I would rather stick to a closer adjustment of the miniatures to the rules.

I wouldn't have an issue with it so long as they were painted in the Heresy-era colours. Like R0bcrt says, it was a one-off event that corrupted them considerably (even if they got worse over time).

On the other hand, the new Daemon Engines I'd not be a fan of seeing.

Okay rules wise I agree about the dissonance, but I'm sure you can make house rules/abilities for them until the Terra book comes out in about 20 years XD, with a corresponding increase in points of course. Thinking about it in theory you could do a small (kill team size) pre siege of Terra Nurgle Death Guard, what with Ignatius Grulgor getting corrupted in the Esenstein and his summoning in Molech setting a precedent.

@Arbitrator, it would be interesting to know if daemon engines were used or not during the siege, they haven't really explored the dark mechanicum that much in that regard. if it's DG related though I could see whatever automata/legio titanicus/motor pool they had at the time getting corrupted when the DG did.

I've been trying to give this tank a fair shout, but i can't see that thing getting 'sanctified'.

It's going to need too much work - i like the way it kinda mimics the shape of the minotaur artillery tank but i'm seeing too much to 'clean up' for my liking.

The ridge effect where those spike rails meet the hull is going to be a pita to get looking smooth and i don't like the hidden area behind the silly dozer blade thing, or the front section of the hull - that centre gun (although fitting the nurgle 40k theme nicely with the homage to the mark of nurgle in its arrangement) will just look strange .

If someone wants to butcher one and makes it look 'proper' i'll be impressed.

I wanted it to be 'salvagable' so i could run a bunch alongside my minotaurs, but it's just not looking worth the effort to me.

The Plagueburst Crawler is definitely a recent (41st Millennium recent that is) creation, so that's out. The Death Guard were notable for being probably the least corrupted - aside from maybe Night Lords - of the Legion prior to their incident in the Warp, not to mention Morty's loathing of sorcery, I think it's fair to say they'd not be running around with much, if any, Dark Mechanicum kit at the time of the Siege. Although there's nothing to say that won't be retconned come Siege of Terra when they want to shift more kits, but we'll see.
