Somewhere just South of nowhere

Hi There,
So I am starting a campaign, and I want to create a background for the regiment the players are going to be put into. I have several abhuman players in my group, so I wanted to incorporate them all. Please add whatever comments or additional fluff you think would work.

The Vostroyan 206th, while still an effective regiment embodying all of the ideals of the great Vostroya, is considered to be a… problem… regiment. Initially a well functioned mechanized company, discipline became a serious issue after the liberation of Severa III, a heavy gravity world where several abhumans detachments were added to the ranks.
The ogryn themselves were not the problem; good for heavy lifting, they were very useful in the deep-snowscapes that the 206th specialized in, especially in the supply train. The primary problem was the ratlings attached in a support role to the supply train. Of a devious nature, these ratlings formed a strong bond with their ogryn counterparts, becoming the “brains” to the ogryns “brawn”. Eventually, minor ratling crime syndicate began to form within the regiment, with allied groups of ratlings extorting whatever they could out of any individual, regiment, or civilian berth they came in contact with. Consequentially, the Vostroyan 206th has the highest ratios to commissars to soldiers (outside of penal regiments) out of all founded Vostroyan regiments.
That is not to say that there are not uses to the ratling-ogryn bond: it has been found that these teams are noticeably more effective heavy weapon squads than their regular human counterparts. Ogryns are easily able to carry all the gear and weaponry associated with the squad, and the sharp eyesight of ratlings are useful in spotting enemies and maintaining weaponry. While the commissar presence has mitigated the rampant extortion prevalent in the 206th, the regiment still finds itself to be one of the best fed and best supplied regiments in the Imperium, although others that fight alongside them might find themselves slightly…under supplied.
SUPPORT:
The Vostroyan 206th are partially supported by Magos Danari Skitsis and his research party. The magos was tasked from the Vostroyan Forge World to create Skitari Regiments optimized in deep winter combat and cold resistance.
