Moving to the Lehigh Valley area of PA at the end of the summer, trying to find game stores where WHFB goes down. So far The Encounter in Allentown and The Portal in Bethlehem seem the best chances. Anybody played at either? Or better yet, anybody still playing there, because it's awesome and a fun time for all? Or are there better places - without going to Philly, preferrably - in the area?

Thanks!

I live up north a bit in the Poconos and have been looking to get into WH40k and WH.  There are no shops up here at all so I have been traveling to Hobby Town USA next to the Lehigh Valley Mall for supplies and to meet people, but recently they took out their gaming area and reduced their minature stock a lot.

I am waiting for the new series of WH to come out before I start looking into that, but I have some things for WH40k.  I have never played either of the games, but I have been picking up codices and some minatures. I am looking for a group of players who play to have fun and not to serious, and who also don't mind showing me the ropes. I have a wife and a 15 month old toddler who take up most of my time, so my game time would be limited to either saturday or sunday as its about a 45-60 minute drive to the mall for me.

A good chunk of our club lives in Allentown and we've got one guy that goes to the University up there during the year.

Our club board is the old Rogue's Den board: http://www.roguesden.com/phpBB2/

You should be able to find a game there. Lots of the guys play at home, as the Encounter has lost it's luster for them (and no longer supports anything GW).

More Lehigh gamers, awesome! I went by the Encounter Saturday before lunch and wasn't too impressed - good place for comics, but as said not too inviting for gaming (they have a caged gaming area? huh) and no model support besides Flames of War. I'm checking out the Portal today when they open at 1 or so, and hoping for a good gaming store. They've got a Medusa V event happening this Saturday that I'd like to get in on ... or at least the GW site says they've got stuff happening. Regardless, looking forward to gaming somewhere and meeting some new people.
