I have recently obtained an AoS Megaboss that has been converted into a 40k MAWB. I have not yet made any of my own changes to this model (nor am I responsible for the paintjob! ), but I am considering personalizing it further. Images spoiler'ed for size:

Now, I feel that I've run into something of a dilemma: I have a bit of unknown origin that I think would make a great helmet/face mask for the Boss, but it cannot fit on the model with the current red metal jaw bit that already is covering part of the face. My question is simply this: will proceeding with the extra conversion improve the look and style of this model, or hinder it somewhat? On one hand, I think changing bits will increase the "40k-ness" of the model and it will be more distinct from the original AoS model. One the other hand, I feel some of the fierceness from the more visible face and jaw bit could be lost, and perhaps he'll look too much like a dreadnought? With all this said, I submit this poll to the good people of Dakka for help.

The original look:

I like the second one, only because frontally it looks very AoS still. I see you have smoke stacks on the back, but the front just looks like you glued a shoota on his wrist.

Maybe a little more 40k-ifying?

I thank you for your specific feedback on the matter. I've ended up opting for the extra conversion you recommended for two reasons:

1. I must agree with your assessment that the Boss looks too 'stock' from the front, which is especially bad since the stock model isn't 40k, but AoS!

2. Since all conversions were done before I bought it, I felt it prudent to tinker with it further and give it a personal touch.
