Hello, so I've been brought into Warhammer through 40K, and decided to start dipping into Fantasy to get that fix. I was looking at starting with the Skaven as I always kinda liked them, and they feel more akin to what REALLY drew me into 40K (the Orkz) than the actual Orks do in Fantasy

I was looking through rules and all (currently only have main book and the Chaos book) and noticed that the Skaven Wizards (grey seers etc) get a rule that allows them to reroll a Magic Test by consuming a chunk of Warpstone. (And one of the characters HAS to consume it with each cast) BUT I couldn't find ANY mention on how much each character actually well... HAS.

Can anybody clarify these rules for me? It'd help a lot

Unless the abillities say otherwise: unlimited amounts of use.

Yup, it's not a consumable like in WHFB; it's an ability they get to use.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Oh wow, so what's the point in NOT using the ability then for some of them? I know for the Skaven Grey Seer on the Rat Ogre thing (it's a character, dun remember his name) there's no downside to using it so why wouldn't he? (Granted he's also FORCED to use it but still...)

Seems a bit ripe for abuse is all I think, but hey, I won't argue with the freebie

Being able to use that ability all the time is baked into the cost of the respective character.

The downside is the mortal wound you could receive.
