The official unveiling for Team Yankee's upcoming source book 'Stripes' hasn't happened yet. But a little bit of information was released as part of a recent "What's coming soon?" post over on Battlefront's official site.

We have a lot going on with Team Yankee this year with Red Thunder giving Soviet players a larger range of options and Stripes doing the same for the Americans later this year (including the much anticipated M113 Scout Platoons with both the Scout and Spearhead special rules!). Stripes will feature new plastic kits including the M60 (both the A1 and A3 variants), LAV (with the -25, -AT with TOW missiles and the –M mortar carrier), the HMMWV and the UH-1 Huey (with both the Army and Marine variants).

Conspicuously absent from that statement is any mention of the M2 or M3 Bradley. And while Battlefront has not explicitly stated that the Bradley is not included in Stripes, at least one representative on the forum has pointedly stated that Battlefront never said anything about putting it in the book. Any statements about it being in 'Stripes' were merely players jumping to conclusions.

Wonder why they might do that?

In any event, based on the info that Battlefront has provided, it appears that the actual (i.e. not stated, but practical fact) thrust of the book is to provide enough equipment to allow you to field US Marines.. And then some of those items will also be usable when Battlefront releases the Canadian and ANZAC lists (it has been noted that, following the release of 'Stripes', both armies will have everything that they need to play between the Team Yankee and Vietnam lines; oh, and guess what's getting its big rerelease very shortly?).

Oh, and yeah, most of the Marine equipment can also be used by the US Army, so Battlefront is kindly providing lists that allow you to do that.

I should also note that Stripes will contain the lists from the original Team Yankee rulebook. Battlefront is planning on releasing a new version of the rulebook. The rules are supposed to be the same. But the US and Soviet lists will be replaced by something involving all of the countries released so far. The intent is that players will get the main rulebook and the national book of their choice.

I'm most curious about the AA. Afaik there is no reason to think they might include the Sergeant York AA except that a BF staff once defended it which made some people suspicious. If it is in though it'll be interesting to watch the fallout.
