Hey guys. My group is getting ready to deeply dive back into Frostgrave with the release of Ghost Archipelago. Its always been a game we go back to, and we're all big fans. To date we've always wanted to support the people involved, so we periodically make new warbands, and exclusively have fun kit-bashing with all of their plastic crew/warband boxes, plus adding in some of their metal models as desired.
Part of the allure this time around seems to be in making more unit crews though, so we're thinking of visiting places like Hasslefree to buy some of their amazing looking models. My worry though is that those, at a glance, look very heroic scaled, and might not mesh well within a warband with the FG stuff.
Can anyone speak to how Hasslefree stuff scales with FG plastics/metals?
Also, i'd love to hear any recommendations for other characterful/fun lines I might want to order from... especially those in that more "true 28mm" scale.

Take a look at Oathsworn Miniatures' [urlhttp://www.oathswornminiatures.co.uk/c/4555399/1/sensible-shoes.html]Heroines in Sensible Shoes[/url] line. Lots of nifty models, all dressed and equipped for adventuring.

Wait. Are you suggesting that the Frostgrave minis are not heroically scaled, but rather true 28mm in scale?
Because they're not.
Not even close.
Anyway, they tend to mix well with the old WHFB militia/free company plastics, and also with Gripping Beast and Fireforge plastics to an extent. Frostgrave minis are very short for "28mm" scale, though, so they don't mix well with most fantasy ranges I've seen.
If you want true 28mm, Perry and the old GW LOTR plastics are your go-to guys.

They are heroically proportioned... yes, but they're not the weird bloat scale of modern 40k, and the game's emulating it, is more what I meant. :-)

I use Reaper and GW miniatures for my wizards.
Basic Frostgrave cultists and soldiers for basic mooks.
