I decided to convert and paint Chaos Space Marines from all the major legions/warbands:



As you can see from this chess work-in-progress, I am working on matching "special" units from each Legion


So there is a Death Guard Terminator, a Night Lord Raptor, an Iron Warriors Obliterator, Thousand Sons Sorcerer on disc, etc.

What do you think so far?

I think it's an interesting idea. I'm guessing you'll be doing a model for each of the warbands we've seen through the various codices, for this all forces list?

EDIT - it'd be heretically delicious to see your take on the Loyalists turned traitor, a blend of their style with some chaos corruption.. Nurgle Deathwing? Khorne Death Company?

Well, I do have a Plague Terminator complete with scythe and a Khorne Raptor, but those will be Death Guard and World Eaters respectively.
I am doing a match-up of sorts. I have 2 Terminators per side, 2 Jump-pack Marines per side, etc. This is more because of the way I've set up the chess roles

I also have a Black Legion Terminator that isn't pictured and a Red Corsair Biker. The only legion that isn't represented twice (1 Infantry marine + something special) is the Word Bearer.
I might make a Word Bearer Possessed or Dark Apostle someday.
