What happened?

Aetaos'rau'keres can fire even if there are units within 1".

With overwatch there are normally two different rules in play.
1) Cannot fire overwatch if there is a unit within 1" (based on normal shooting rules)
2) Cannot fire Overwatch if engaged.

Aetaos'rau'keres ignores restriction 1, but nothing in his rules override restriction 2 (that is also why you would not be able to fire pistols for overwatch if you are engaged).

There was a discussion about this awhile back in YMDC. I'll see if I can find it.
