The movie has entered postproduction. I’m very happy about this, Mortal Engines is one of my favorite book series, and I’m excited to see London on screen.

Excellent, can't wait for this. Still surprised to see Andy Serkis isn't involved, he'd have been perfect doing performance capture for Shrike. Hugo Weaving as Valentine is a stroke of genius though, and that concept art in the article nails the feeling and scale the film needs to capture.

I’m interested to see Stalkers on screen. I’ve never really been able to form a mental picture of them, which is a shame, because I LOVE me some cybernetic horrors.

Robert Sheehan pretty much perfectly matches my mental image of Tom, but sadly I can’t say much else, I’ve never really followed actors or actresses.

I think the only 'official' depiction of a Stalker is on the cover of Scrivener's Moon, so I've always seen Shrike as that but much more battered and falling apart. A bit Borg, a bit Terminator endoskeleton, a bit Frankenstein's Monster.
Spoiler:

A lot of the cast seems fairly unknown, but then again, so were a lot of the LotR cast at first. Jackson clearly has an eye for working with less well known actors and getting the best out of them.
