Zealot miniatures second kickstarter; Twisting Catacombs, The Minotaur Horde is now live.

Their fist KS for resin fantasy dungeon scenery was simply superb in terms of detail and price, and this one looks like it will be a similar quality, but this time focusing on Minoataurs.

And just look at them! Amazing!

As a backer of their Dungeon Scenery Kickstarter I can confirm the quality is AMAZING. I would express some concern however, they shot for a March 2015 delivery and I think they were still sending out stuff clear into early 2017....

This KS has a fulfillment date of Feb 2018, just 5 months out??? It does appear to be a much smaller scope so maybe they can get pretty close to that.

Regardless the quality was amazing on the first KS, Im going in on at least 3 of those Minotaur's and suspect the wait will be well worth it.

Thank you for posting this, I'm in for one of the last Core 4 early birds

(it's no cost saving, just dispatch order, which will progress by backer number first for EBs, then regular pledges).

I'll also jump in and say for prospective backers that their previous dungeon scenery KS resulted in some genuinely fantastic pieces and excellent quality. While there were delays I felt communication was adequate, and hopefully the combination fo experience and extra production capacity they put on during the last fulfilment will help them keep to the schedule this time.

Reigning in the amount of add-ons and stretches would probably help with that

The Minotaurs are amazing... very tempted.

I really like the female Barbarian too.

I am not sure if I am keen on female Minotaurs if they offer nothing more interesting than a female torso, 4 nipple boobies might get my attention though.

My pleasure! Going by the previous KS it's well worth grabbing one of the Early Birds, the difference in dispatch dates for EB backers and non EB backers was, in most cases, huge.

My thoughts exactly, except that I don't mind a bit of a delay due to extra stretch goals

Horde is advancing, conquering more and more territories!

Scouts reporting about new unit spotted in their savage troops - Female minotaurs!!

They are not as heavy as males but extremely swift and deadly. Appearing on the battlefield in unexpected places those beasts making a bloody massacre in enemy lines!

That female minotaur doesnt do anything for me. I think it looks weak compared with the other really great minotaurs.

It's very much a work in progress as they say in the update, and you can see the hair especially isn't finished

(I like the pose but the head is way to small/neck too long for me which I said on the KS and the sculptor said he'd take it on board)

but based on what we saw on facebook of the development of the males it will get better

(i'd also kind of hoped for udders instead of breasts, but the sculpts clearly not going that way so I won't ask)

I agree so far, but it's still WIP. Can always just ignore it and get the awesome core minotaurs

The 3D views are really helpful! I especially liked it for the Halberd and Banner Bearer, since the still views they chose don't really show some parts of the models.

There are also add-ons for axes, wardrum and bare hands bits (the bare hands will be free!) which will fit all the minotaurs above but the general

REALLY tempted by these. Great looking models. Their dungeon stuff was very good, if a little late in delivering.

Beautiful sculpts, really good looking minotaurs. Not sold on the female sculpts though. I would have thought just adding further males to expand the unit would have been better.

Ask for Udders, it could not hurt. They seem very open minded. The females are cool I prefer the menacing males more.

As much as I love the male minos I'm just not feeling the female variants, hopefully they will get a few tweaks during the campaign to make them more appealing.

Having said that, I'd consider getting one as the basis for a Keeper Of Secrets conversion if they were a bit bigger.

I would like to mention here as sculptor, those WIP's that we will reveal soon are mostly the direction in what we are going with the sculpt, like really basic vision. During polishing process, pose and details of equipment may change , so please don't treat WIP's as final product

Our next target is SHAMAN, stay tuned, concept will be revealed soon!

Time for something a little different!
Alexei has sculpted this rather gruesome looking Matriarch's Table. Upon which the soon-to-be-revealed matriarch will prepare her victims
Also useful for chaos, orcs, undead and other evil races - actually, it is quite a functional table whatever race you are - well... as long as you plan on chopping up corpses

And you can get it added FREE to your pledge

At this midpoint in the campaign, it may be smart if we paid Google to place some adverts to spread the news of this awesome KS and all these great Minotaurs , or perhaps we could pay Facebook for placed adverts, or maybe pay some hobby sites to place some big banners on their pages? ...

Or we can instead, use that advert-money to produce and cast another great model and give it away free, to the people who matter - You, our great backers! - for helping spread the word!

So, it Seems They are Not Invincible!

It takes a lot of killing, but you can actually down a Minotaur

Coming up on the stretch goals in another useful sculpt of a minotaur corpse Again a very raw Work in Progress sculpt but it should give you an idea of the direction we are going in

Great for dioramas or marking dead minotaurs on battlefields or in RPGs (these guy's corpses are going to provide some cover! )

This one may be a stretch goal for a few goals in the future, as we have some more alive character minotaurs which we will perhaps want to slip in before
