Probably work

Anyone have any idea what the rough scale on the official minis is, say, by comparison to one of the pathfinder characters?

I'm thinking about trying to sculpt some of my own, but I want to stay compatible with the official line in case i pick any up down the road.

Assume all my mathhammer comes from here: https://github.com/daed/mathhammer

Sorry, just saw this. I couldn't tell you the scale of the ships, because they aren't consistent with one another. The ships are just a visual reference for the position and appearance of the ship, and not in scale with each other. Tiny and Small ships are WAAAAY bigger than they would be relative to Medium ships, and Large/Huge/etc. ships are WAAAY smaller than they would be relative to the Medium ships.

Basically, I would say that you should sculpt the ships so that a Medium ship fits comfortably on a 1" hex with maybe some extended bits sticking out from the edges. Larger ships seem a bit bigger (much more overhanging the base), and small seems to consistently fit entirely within the base, but I couldn't guess a scale even for each class.
