Daemon Icon Bearers have the following ability:
If you roll a 1 when making a battleshock test for a unit that includes aby Icon Bearers, reality blinks and the daemonic horde is bolstered. Add D6 (e.g.) Plaguebearers to the unit.

So I couldn't find anything in the core rules and the GH2017 that indicates that it means you lose no models. Did I miss something or do you gain models when rolling a 1 for battleshock and then lose some models when even a 1 fails your battleshock?

You would add the models to the unit, then remove the appropriate amount for failing battleshock. Note that by adding models to one side and removing them from the other one can effectively 'move' the unit a small amount.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks!
