I go by Syro (pronounced like "sigh row"). This is want I call myself in nearly all games and online things.

I've lurked around Dakka for about two years, always planning to sign up and then always putting it off until later. I first got hooked on Dakka from reading Gitsplitta's blogs: his orks, mantis warriors, and son's Doom Eagles. I have also greatly enjoyed the blogs by Camkierhi, pox's great gargant, dsteingass, onemannoodles, Adamsouza, KrautScientist, Ruglud, Inmygravenimage, Briancj, and many others that i'm forgetting to mention.

I first started collecting 40k two to three years ago with some ebay auctions and picking up Dark Vengence. I realized I could finally afford it as a hobby, especially with trying to make a lot of my own stuff. I'm really into scratch building things. For years before that, I played the Dawn of War computer games. Orks are my favorite faction in 40k, followed by chaos, but I play others as well and plan to start even more over time.

I found Z-Ray's topic for the current "League of extraordinary Riveters" contest too tempting not to join, which finally got me off my butt to sign up for a Dakka account.

Welcome! I was just in the process of making some really cheap scratchbuilt ork stuff and I'm glad to hear somebody might like it.
