I always swore I was done with the console race and managed to keep from buying an XBox One, however, I find myself more and more tempted. Question, for someone who has completed GTA V 100% in single player on Xbox 360, is it worth buying the Xbone version? Did they add or enhance the single player mode at all? Or is it all just graphical updates and GTA Online? The online stuff doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

Also, that being said, is there any definitive answer as to the best console out of Xbox and PS? Is one demonstrably better in terms of hardware or does it all boil down to console exclusives and personal preference? Never thought I’d buy a Playstation but I quite like the idea of playing Uncharted.

Currently speaking, there isn't really a reason to play GTA 5 again on next gen if you've maxed it out in the previous console generation. As you've mentioned, it's all mainly graphic updates and multiplayer that they've added things. I mean there's some weapons from updates that trickle into the single player, but it's not worth buying it all over again.

While I don't think there's a definitive answer as to which console is the best, (at the end it really is personal preference), I would say PS4 wins out as far as exclusives go. Microsoft has really dropped the ball with only a few games worth caring about tied to the system, and only one recently, that being Cuphead. PS4 has a much wider and diverse range of games from great JRPGS's like Persona 5 to blockbuster games like Uncharted. Also, if you haven't played the Last of Us from the previous generation it really is polished to an amazing degree in next gen.

Actually, funny you should mention that. I went with a PS4 Pro with Uncharted 4, Fifa 18 and CoD:Infinite War.

Uncharted in particular was spectacular (just finished it last night) both graphically and gameplay-wise, so much so that I am after the remastered collection next so I can play the earlier games in the series.

Last of Us remastered is also on my 'to get' list.

It's been that way for a while - if you have a decently up to date gaming PC, then a Playstation is the console to own unless you really want Halo, Gears of War or Forza. Pretty much everything else that doesn't make it to Playstation makes it to PC.

I feel I should recommend Horizon Zero Dawn. It's an absolutely amazing open world game. I'm just sad I don't get to play it as much because I don't get my TV as much.
