I am returning after a long hiatus since 5th edition. I play nids, and it seems that a lot has changed. I have been reading a lot of tactics and what not. Here is my first attempt at a new Nids list. I think i have these detachments done correctly.

It's not too shabby! Depending on your local "meta" you may find that you need more speed (opposed to foot slogging) so you may swap out the Tervigon for a Swarmlord (+50 points) to get that cool "slingshot" action.

I need to either convert my current hive tyrant to a swarmlord and buy the bonesowrd bits or just buy a new swarm lord as i dont have that model.

got any ravengers? in this edition i find them better then gene stealers because they are not instant killed by dubble toughness weapons . a lot of weapons are multi wound now you might neee get used to this .

gene stealers can be fun but walking across the table well often does not work going in to the tunnels of the trygon... well your out 9 inches so to far out to get in to combat on a rely able basis
now days i just take big units of devil gaunts they are cheaper and doe 3 attacks at S4 30 of them doe 90 shots i usually take 2 units of 20+ giving me 120+ shots and for less price i can also take ravangers give them rendering claws move 12 advance and cast spell to get a extra 12 inch movement then after that you can charge 2d6 they will make a charge with ease or you can deep strike them.. for free no delivery system needed .
I dont like the swarm lord to expensive for that price you get a stonefex a droppod and a winged tyrant rending claws and death spitter for the same points .
biovores they are not as sexy as Hiveguard , but do mortal wounds now and are cheaper and need no line of sight

I do have 3 raveners, but way more genestealers and everywhere i have read people swear by them. The trygon tunnel is the plan. Also, the psychic power that grants the additional movement might help with the charge.

The tervigon is not worth its points with so few gants.

Tervigons are mildy tough but a lone one will be targeted and dead by turn 2. The only way i have seen tervigons really pull their weight is to bring 2 with several full sized units of gants.

3 30 models blobs each with 10 devourers and 20 fleshborers. Is 150 shots a turn rerolling 1s to hit and wound with 20 models comming back a turn and psychic support from the tervigons.

THAT is worth the cost especially because 2 tervigons is much harder to displace while the enemy is trying to deal with the hail of living amunition.

Tervigons aren't worth it in this edition. i'd get a couple of malanthropes they are very good.

I only have the one Tervigon. I want a malenthrope but have A LOT of unpainted stuff right now. I want to wait until the new codex in november before i buy anything else.

If tervigons get better ill prob get a 2nd one. I really like the idea of having 150 shots!

I would lose the tervigon and the 10 gargoyles and the rippers
take a hive Tyrant with wings to deep strike him with the trygons and the devil gaunts . the hyve tyrant will give synaps to your army in front maby cast some spels to get a trygon in to combat .synaps also helps with passing morral checks for the gaunts . they can also be used as a tarpit . 30 wounds is a lot to chew trough its all a big distraction so the second part of your army can foot slog it across the table there are some points left about 80 of them to do what you want with them
i would give the hyve tyrant death spitters and rending claws so he is multi functional .

How are you deepstriking the HT?

Good question, not sure how he was thinking that... Gene stealers go in tunnels, everyone else walks up.

Im also getting back into my nids since 5th edition, one thing that sticks out to me tho is your list to me is kind of all over the place without a direction to move. Are you just using the models you have or do you have access to more?
