YEAH! That's rights another noob asking about bases...

So I'm not the greatest painter and often paint a little bit, get mad and stop...so I figure let me try making some bases they'll maybe bring my guys to life. My question is, as a Blood Angel player what's a good base for them, I sort of like the dark orange/red sand, sorta like Baal I would assume, I was hoping to keep it easy but not crappy. I'm also changing all my guys to 32mm that aren't already so tbis is the perfect time to practice and learn from you pros!

I would try a summer burnt grass (ie a muted green).
Something like this static grass:

Put down a rich deep brown base coat 1st, maybe with some really fine sand mixed in.

I would also paint all the eye lenses a bright green.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

well, if you dont want grass or sand, you can allways try gws textures. (tough they are a wee bit hard to apply as they are more like paste then paint)
