Greetings Dakkanauts! I'm feeling the call of the Drukhari and have already begun to buy and build my army of evil space elves, and I have concocted a list too! Feel free to let me know what I can do to make the enemy guys more deader. I wanted to squeeze in some Incubi or Mandrakes in there somewhere but wasn't able to do so unfortunately.

Hey I reckon you have a pretty solid list but I'd suggest dropping the Reavers and give four Scourges Dark Lances instead of Blasters, this gives you more anti tank and more mobility. This will leave about 75 points, and if you drop the Blast Pistols from your Archons you could get that squad of Mandrakes you love!

Reavers are horribly overpriced. I'm guessing you're just including them because they come with the Start Collecting box, but they're really just not good.

If you want to run your Mandrakes, that's where you get the points.

Also, I'd just give the Archons Blasters instead of Blast Pistols. They're not stellar in close combat, so I'd just parade them around in a Venom providing 2+ Darklight.

Also, Dark Lance Scourge are mathematically better than Blasters, even on the drop, due to the increased damage. considering your lack of Lances elsewhere, that's what I'd do.

Thanks for the responses guys! I'll certainly swap my Scourges over to Dark Lances. If anything they'll be a nice distraction unit with a lot of bite.

Yeah, the Start Collecting box came with the Reavers so I figured they were decent. Nice to know they aren't, was tempted to grab the Gangs of Gammorrah set for the cheap units.

Out of curiosity would it be a good move to drop the detachment down to a patrol, drop an Archon in order to get a third Venom? I would be able to use Incubi with two spare power level (my area plays PL at 50 most the time) though I'll sacrifice two CP. What do you folks think?

It might help your longevity of your blaster warriors but CP are pretty bloody helpful I must say! If you drop agonisers from all of you warrior squads and the splinter cannon from your razorwing, you can grab a squad of incubi and equip you archons with blasters and one PGL. This totals to 50 PL and it gives you a nice bit of anti armour in cc.
