I have stopped playing for a while, and I want to return into the game.

I need an efficient army of 500 points for a friendly match. Nothing too heavy hitting, but one that’s robust enough to keep things interesting.

Help me out here.

important thing is;

what do you enjoy doing on the field?

I enjoy a healthy mix of shooting and close combat, with a buff or two to give a bit of an edge. Basically I want to sample everything.

Suggest make it plain Craftworld at that points level. Especially as it's a friendly.

Farseer, Warlock, 3 units of 10 Guardians. Leaves 110 points left. Probably unit of 3 Dark Reapers including Exarch. Farseer with Doom and Guide. Warlock with Conceal.

That is a decent core of a larger force and balanced to such small points. If you really want Ynarri, you will need to drop the Warlock to make the points, in which case you can swap 1 or more of the Guardian units for Kabalite Warriors. May find points for a Bright Lance, but I feel the main suggest would work best for that scale game.
