Hi all, and welcome to my blog of edgy trash models, this is going to be a general hobby blog where I proceed to ruin one miniature after another (or maybe improve them).

I'm currently jumping on the 8th edition 40k bandwagon having heard quite a few positive things about it, this is going to be my first ever 40k army and pretty much my first army sized project in general having
only played skirmish games previously (mostly infinity and Deadzone). I'm also pretty interested in building a Kings of War army at some point in the near future having seen it played at a recent event, I'm thinking
of going Abyssal Dwarfs since they look fun, so expect to see some of that soon(ish) as well, and of course any other random miniatures/projects that I feel like doing.

The current project is The Cult of the Thorned Sisters, a 2000pt (at least) Necron army. I hope to have this done by the end of the 2018 year, assembled, painted and based all to a decent tabletop standard.

So here we go:

Overlord: Heavy WiP, still in early mock-up stages (hence all the blue-tack)

Cryptek:

Warriors: 20 of these in the works

Immortals: 20 of these too, 10 with Guass Blasters, 10 with Tesla Carbines

And that's everything so far, still to come are (not yet started) : A second Cryptek, 10 Triarch Praetorians, 3 Triarch Stalkers, 5 Lychguard

Small WiP update after quite a while, sadly work and other life stuff got in the way, but I'm back on it.
So here we go:

Got my 5 Lychguard started, these guys are going to be armed with warscythes and are created using the Lychguard and Tree-Revenant Kits

I'm loving how the organic and metal parts of these guys are mixing so well, its really got the whole "corrupted" look nailed down, hopefully with
a little greenstuffing I should be able to imitate this throughout the rest of the army.

And 20 Warrior heads:

Thats it for now, onwards and upwards we go.

Very fking cool, man. One of the most original Necron ideas I've ever seen, can't wait for more.

Yep this is damn sweet. Excellent merging of ordered mechanics with disordered organics. Looking forward to how these come together.

Soooooo Warm-up project time!

Having recently been given two big bags of Tau bits by my brother, I figured I'd return the favor by building a squad of Vespid for his Tau army, apparently they're pretty good
shock troopers this edition and I know he hates the current models, still being the old ugly fine cast ones that they are. For the converted models I'm aiming for a mix between
The Fallen (Destiny) and Cravers (Endless Space) but tied into the Tau's overall design style.

Heres an example of The Fallen:
Spoiler:

And the Cravers:

And heres the wonderful bags of bits (I love big bags of bits), with a quick mock-up of the Vespid using a Bloodletters body + Legs, Tau Firewarrrior Head and four Crypt ghoul arms.
Oh and theres a Gnoll bloodreaver test also on the left, I wonder if that'll become anything?

Till next time.

Small update:

Vespids are taking a while, kinda had to go back to the drawing board on them since the previous idea didn't work out too well.
But in good news, had some great luck on this guy despite not being planned.

A custom Fireblade Cadre heavily inspired by St.Theo's works.

Kept the pose pretty simple, hes got a micro spotter drone hard-wired to his suit and a prosthetic arm and leg.

Heres a link to St.theo's DA: https://www.deviantart.com/sttheo

Enjoy.

FWIW I really dug the Vespid mock up of last post, sorry to hear it's not coming together. Gangly four-armed thing with cyclopean helmet had a good feel to it, hopefully some of that carries over into the next design.
