Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could share some unique army ideas or concepts

as example is an army of mostly thunder hammer storm shield terminators converted from Age of Sigmar Liberators or a full dreadnought army. I want to field something that is very rarely seen and is one of a kind

A full dreadknight army. I'm pretty sure that with the grand master as a HQ this could be done, if not then just add in some cheap units like minimum conscripts and go from there.

Tau Shocktroop force: An army consisting of little long range weaponry and few battlesuits, focusing on the higher risk, higher reward units peppered throughout the Tau force.

very rare, because most Tau players fall into one of two categories: "I want to play the shooting army" and "Wow those battlesuits are awesome, I'll take one of each please"

Imperial Guard Auxilia Regiment: Bullgryns, Ogryns, Ratlings and sanctioned psykers, corralled by the distrustful eye of the ministorum and the commissariat. Probably called together by a radical inquisitor.

Imperial Mounted Regiment: Rough Riders, Death Riders, Sentinels, and Sydonian Dragoons, gallantly trampling the foe through application of hit-and-run shock assaults.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Spamming a unit type that is not optimal, but looks cool is probably the route you want to go.

Space wolves can field an all wolf guard army. You could have every model in your army with pretty much any loadout of weapons you want. Wolf guard can be power armor, bikers, jump pack, and terminators. You could give every single one of them a TH/SS if you wanted.

I'm putting together a drone army. Blight drones, Plague drones and Bloat drones. I'm doing this because I think it would be a little fun, but mostly to get a cheap giggle when my opponents are confused by my unit names.

An army of landspeeders would be fun.

Probably one of the best i have seen both in modeling and in army fluff was a iG/AM army made entirely of grots. Every model modified to look like they would "fit" in the IG. They had a bit of orcyness left with the tanks having patched up hauls ect. They got the idea doing looted vehicles back in the day.

Another fun one i have seen was a "possessed" sisters of battle, still fighting on for the emperor her name is slaneesh. That was a lot of metal to hack through.

A handful of Techmarines as HQ's with as many Dreadnoughts as you can field. Throw in an Imperial Knight for flavor.

Mech Tau. That is to say, a Tau list that focusses on tanks, speeders, and possibly aircraft. Small squads of troops to run in and score objectives, or minimal crisis suits for the fine surgical work the other vehicles aren't suited for. Basically a proper starship troopers (book) build.

Fair warning: Part of the reason you never see this is the devilfish and piranha hulls aren't very good kits. Especially compared to the engineering you see in the new crisis suits or ghostkeel kits.

I'm currently building an army almost entirely of Tyranid Warriors.

Dinosaur Riders SM

Melee WS army with Cold Ones (from the Dark Elf range not Lizardman).

Use the GK polearms, WS currently is more melee rules so it works out well.

Use the Extra Boltguns with Straps to strap them on the side.

The Bike Marines legs are easy to get, any DA player from 6-7th should have 20 of them, bis places should sell them really cheap too.

Edit: Spelling

I'm working on a Bloodcrusher army where all the models are AoS Bullgors painted brass. It's a homage to the WHFB character Taurox the Brass Bull. Currently I'm also considering using Ogryn Bodyguards (which can lower the model count, greatly helping since minotaurs/bullgors cost a lot to field in those numbers) or Space Wolf TWC.

I've also wanted to do a CSM outrider detachment with WHFB/AoS Chaos Knights. The only issue is shoring up all of the boltguns needed.

One of the ones that is almost nearing completion is the "Eight Points of Chaos" list, which is literally 8 Greater Daemons (2 from each god). The good thing is that the old metal GDs had two heads, so it fits in perfectly. I am just lacking the squid-faced KoS right now (I have got two LoCs, two BTs, two GUOs and a horseface KoS).

Another one I wanted to do was an army of Tzeentchian Daemon Princes, all converted from AoS Morghasts (tell me they don't scream Daemon Prince).

Final one is an army of Taloses converted from Stormfiends, possibly led by a Warplock Engineer counting as a Haemonculus.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

LOVE those models, i use them for my Cronos as DE.

Edit: Then used the Wings on DP's and the weapons as well, the kit is just amazing all round.

those were the images that inspired me, however I was planning on making the Infernal Tetrarch with a Tzeentch theme. The Khorne Prince would have had a giant two-handed naginata, the Nurgle one would be wielding that giant ball thing from the Plague Furnace, the Slaanesh one would have two whips and the Tzeentch one would have a staff made from the Horrors' banner.
