As far as gameplay goes, nothing stops me from playing Khorne and AL. But does this break the fluff over its back? Are Stealth-Zerkers a thing?

Not only is this a "thing" but it is one of the most competitive CSM armies at the moment.

Zerkers can be sneaky up until they get close to the enemy. Khorne doesn't just favor warriors who are pure brutes, but also rewards cunning warriors....that are also brutes

Lore wise?

Isnt this kinda the thing that nightlords would do?

Alpha Legion aren't the Sneaky ones, those are the Night Lords.

Alpha Legion would be the ones that put a bunch of sleeping (With drugs) Khorne Berzerker inside Imperial Containers and send them to a Imperial Guard Position and once inside use their undercover agents/cultists to give the "OK" pass, and then open them , releasing the now awakened Berzerkers in the middle of all the Imperium defenses.
The carnage would be glorious.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

That honestly makes more sense. its not about the zerkers being alpha legion but how the alpha legion manipulates people and situations to make gak happen the way they want it.

Rember the opening scenes from praetorian of Dorn, it's just that.

The scheme can't be too over the top for the alpha legion.

So, is Khorne brutally cunning or cunningly brutal?

I feel like using Khorne Berserkers as a distraction is the exact kind of thing the Alpha Legion would do. What is more distracting then a beserker? Meanwhile the rest of the legion is behind the lines, setting up bombs and hacking communications.

In the book Kharn: Eater of Worlds there indeed was a World Eater assassination squad. They used stealth of sorts to get to their objective without running around butchering everything in sight.

Mind you, once they were discovered eventually the gak well and truly hit the fan.

Good book, recommend it.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I can just imagine some Alpha Legionnaires capturing a bunch of world eater berserkers and throw them into stasis tubes, then airdropping them (sans parachute) into the warzone so that they won't be caught in the "blast radius" when the berserkers come out of stasis.

From the old fluff you are describing exactly what they did to deploy Eversor assassins. Turn off the drugs, drop them planetside and watch the hilarity ensue.

I think infiltrating Khorne Berzerkers is absolutely hilarious, whether or not it toes the straight-and-narrow with regards to lore compliance.

And, really, I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive. If anyone can figure out how to infiltrate Khorne Bezerkers, it's the Alpha Legion.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

If an alpha legion army faces a world eaters army, I can just imagine that the "infiltrated" berserkers weren't actually infiltrated. Instead they're the blokes from the world eaters warband that got tricked into fighting their own men (probably with some rocks thrown at their heads and poorly-made attempts at mimicking their friend's voices).

AL operatives sedating berzerkers and outfitting them with a stimulant package that activates either on command of the local operations leader or on a timer is one way to explain it. The other is that they've simply put a lot of combat drugs into renegade marines and use them for shock troops. Eversor knock-offs is pretty appropriate.

If you just look at it straight on, yeah, it's kind of dodgy. That people tend to paint berzerkers in bright red doesn't help. If you were to use more toned-down models and paint them in blood-drenched camo it helps a lot. Berzerkers don't have to be fancy looking, you know?

I also wanted to ask something sort of on topic.

I wanna go Alpha Legion, but I've already painted 60% of my army red.

Is it reasonable to say they're Khorne worshippers first and foremost? And do you think I should paint the rest of my models Alpha Legion, or should I just keep with colour scheme and stick with Red/Brass/Black?

Just do what I do. Say your army is made up of different warbands that just happen to be working together.

My zerkers are all painted WE style. My tanks are all IW, and possessed are all Wordbearers.

Obviously, the seven-foot-tall armored berserk warrior just puts on a big floppy hat and a trenchcoat and he can blend in anywhere.

Sculpt a hydra shoulder pad on one of the marines. Paint him AL. Then repaint him Khorne. Make him your warlord.

None of the other marines realise this undercover AL operative is pulling the strings. This marine's machinations is what makes the Khorne Warband an AL force.
