I don't like Stormcasts without helm, so I was thinking on converting the leader of the Stormcast warband from Shadespire.

This one:

Apart cutting his head off and replacing it with helm or a spare head, I do not know how to proceed. What should I do with his left arm? A shield would be the easiest solution, but carrying a broadsword should prevent him carrying a shield, too (also it could be misleading game-wise).
So, I'm looking for suggestions. What about a pointing hand? In case, from what kit?

Is he multi part at all?

Not "standard" multipart model, but it comes in several pieces, left arm and helm (and half shoulderpad) are a distinct piece:

I think one of the other snap fit guys (either from the starter box or one of the intro 3 man boxes) has a sort of lightning rosary thing in that hand that could work

*edit* I lied, it was the leader in the paladins multi part box...maybe bitz order?

The arm with a perched Aetherwing from the Raptor kit is a personal favourite.

The head swap is easy, the hard part is the arm. Honestly I can understand why you'd want to modify this one. Out of all the models in the set he is the one that is the most generic and lackluster, just bland all around. They could have had him with his sword up like he's swinging it or a more interesting pose. And the head could have been optional. Is making your own Steelheart model from a generic liberators kit an option? Even if you converted this one his pose is still going to suck.

Actually, I do like the pose
Anyway, the Aetherwing from the Raptor kit suggestion is another great one. Will see what I'll find...

Actually I love his pose, it works pretty great for a leader, right down to the personality being able to see his face gives him.

How about also turning the sword, pointing it upwards? Might look too big for him holding it upwards, but you could replace it for another "special" sword, lightning bolts shooting out of its tip like He-Man....

Thanks everyone pro suggestions. Here's what I have done:

In the back there's some gs work to do, but it's looking good enough to me.

That looks really good. I was also trying to find a way to get rid of his current head, but I don't have any bits that aren't 40k, so it's tough to find a good alternate.

Thanks! Conversion completed (no big deal, most of it was already done in the previous pic).
