I've been playing blood angels and harlequins in 40k for a while now, and I've decided it's time for a chaos army to round out the three major groups. Given that the other two forces are cc focused, I figured it would fit to play a world eaters army. I've looked around at models and paint schemes, and I think I prefer the look of the 30k world eaters to their 40k counterparts.

Obviously I'm interested in a number of possible transferable units, but the main question is how usable are rampagers as bezerkers, and do those sets come with chain axes or would I need to get some axes as well?

Rampagers don't come with chainaxes, so you would have to buy them seperatly. Or you could take normal 30k Marines and combine them with chainaxes and the veteran helmets which are similar to the Berserker ones.

All 30k World Eaters can carry a chainaxe if they can carry a chainsword. You can also trade most bolters for a chainsword, then swap it out for a chainaxe. This means that essentially every 30k WE unit can be used as beserkers in 40k.

Rampagers look good, apart from the heads, which are too large. If you want WYSIWYG, rampagers are not a good berserker analogue, but any sane opponent would allow it, as long as they are consistently defined (10 rampagers are 10 berserkers with chainswords and axes).

So I have 50 tactical marines, 3 sergeants with power fists & 47 marines with Chain axe & bolt pistol.

Khorne Bersrkers in 40k really should be armed with a chain axe (because they're 1 point) and a bolt pistol (I personally value it over the chainsword) so I use my tactical marines as Khrone Berserkers in 40k. Use my Rhinos as rhinos, etc etc.

Really the only thing that won't fit is anything geared with something that isn't in the codex (Vulkite guys, Angron, etc).

A Song of Ice and Fire - House Greyjoy.
AoS - Maggotkin of Nurgle, Ossiarch Bonereapers & Seraphon.
Bloodbowl - Lizardmen.
Horus Heresy - World Eaters.
Marvel Crisis Protocol - Avengers, Brotherhood of Mutants & Cabal.
Middle Earth Strategy Battle game - Rivendell & The Easterlings.
The Ninth Age - Beast Herds & Highborn Elves.
Warhammer 40k  - Tyranids.
