Hi all,

I have been back in the hobby for about 3 years now, and in that time have painted quite a lot of models. Some I think are good, some not so much, but I thought I might take some pictures and post some here.

Having never played a game of 40K or AoS, I just get things I like, so my collection is somewhat eclectic, but I do like variety so that's o.k.

Rather than keep posting a new thread for each model/unit, I thought I would just keep it all in this thread and update it when I finish something or take a photo of an existing model.

Anyway, constructive criticism is of course welcome, but be gentle as I am definitely still learning

Cheers

Hmm, having a bit of trouble uploading images. I have added one to My Gallery, but when I post it with the img tags around the URL no photo shows, just a blank space.

Here you go.

When on the dakka gallery, copy and paste the code under 'forums' at the bottom right of the picture, and that's all there is to it!

I like your scheme, nice neat paintjob!

Yeh that'll make sense, thanks very much Scarper!

I am still in the process of coming up with a name/origin for the chapter, but have quite a few Primaris done in the scheme so far.

Thank you for taking a look.

Finished my Knight Valiant today.

He's been out and about and managed to catch himself a tasty fish with his harpoon.

The Tau suit and drone are actually Tau Light Ochre, but they look a bit similar to the orange on the knight in the photos.

Had a lot of fun building it, even outside of the harpoon conversion. The legs are a lot easier to work with than the old kit, especially if you want to change the angle etc.

Colour wise he just matches a lot of my other minis, from Primaris to Mechanicus.

Good job, but you might want to fix that chain. There's lots of non twisted chain in many jewelry places that would better match the chain shown on the harpoon arm itself.

the decorative chain is a bit of an eye sore

I saw a post on here a while ago with a really great looking Stormcast done as though fallen, either to Death or Chaos and thought I'd give it a go. I picked up the new Storm Strike set that came out recently and took some clippers and a knife to both the Stormcast and Nighthaunt kits to come up with a squad of 5 Fallen Stormcast Eternals. Can't quite decide whether they are full Death now and serve Nagash, or if they exist in some kind of limbo like good ol' Benjen Stark.

I had a lot of fun with making each of them unique, either by having different weapons, head types or indeed, no feet...

Group Shot
Spoiler:

Name: Ichabod Kassel
About: Carries own head; Shoots skulls from crossbow; Has no feet...
Spoiler:

Name: Soo-zan Stolight
About: Doesn't require a helm apparently; Carries a large scythe over he shoulder; Likes long walks on the beach
Spoiler:

Name: Sollerman Cayne
About: Decided one scythe wasn't enough; Has an animate skull on his robes called Moray
Spoiler:

Name: Cyrer Campaner
About: Also doesn't require a helm for completely different reasons; Often rings his bell really close to Sollerman's head, because even before he died, he was a git
Spoiler:

Name: Daruth Mawl
About: Heard Sollerman talking about how awesome his dual scythes were - told Cyrer to hold his beer...(or whatever sortofundeadGodlightningcreations drink)
Spoiler:

Now all I have to do is work out what to arm the Grimghast Reapers that donated their scythes with...that is to say the ones that didn't have their wispy-ghosty trails surgically removed...

Cheers

Great figures, and great humour. Really like the style and, while I generally don't like dark figures, these dudes look ace. Nicely done all round. Particularly like how you've done the robes flowing in the wind using other death robe parts.

LOVE the conversions!

I've converted a unit of Stormcasts to Terminators but they pale in comparison!

Thank you for the comments.

I think the most fun I have in this hobby ours is converting models. I don't always do it, because not all models lend themselves to, nor need converting, but things like this are really fun to do in small numbers.
