As the titel says.. just bought an Ironclad for my KO army, but not sure what weapon is the best. To me it seems like the volley Canon is the safest bet, but am I wrong? Bonus info: my goal is to have 3 ironclads in my 2000 point list!
Cheers

Great skycannon, you need the rend. If you really need mobility you can use the hook. Never take the volley cannon; it's average wound output may be a bit better but the torpedos and carbines already do what it does (and combined have a higher average output than the volley cannon, even). Further, you will have a ton of rend 0 and rend -1 shooting in the army, so enemy units with bad saves really won't be much of a problem. The support characters sitting in cover behind them will be.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Absolutely agree.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!
