You can fit a SH tank withint 7" without sponsons. But with you cannot if you measure from the sponsons themselves. Do they could towards the width of the vehicle of do you measure the footprint of the tanks and the sponsons are "wings"

Of course they count. If a superheavy with sponsons is >7" wide you can't deploy it via Ambush.
Similarly, my opponent on Friday tried to hang a tank 1/3 off the table to fit into a spot I'd denied by model placement. Uh, nope.
