Hi, I'd like to try a space list that is focused on SW units, since I've mostly played spamming razorbacks and I'd want something different, something more oriented in SW background. So, only tipycal SW units, and a close combat oriented army.

Tactics: All blood claws ride in the stormwolf, njal and the terminators arrive by deepstrike. Alternatively I could drop njal and the terminators and add a battle leader on thunderwolf with TH/SS and another pack of 5 wulfen. Any suggestions? I don't own any dreads so I couldn't add them.

I kinda like it - but you're very thin on the objective front.

I would look to drop troops alltogether. Stack two sets of TWC with wolf priests and jump packs and have them 'meet' Arjac when the Termies drop. You should be able to arrange it into two detactments for +2CP that way.

Ignoring my exact preferance;

You definatly want lascannons on the long fangs. Can you add jump packs to the blood claws? Keeps them away from risk then they can take advantage of wulven buffs. The flyer will just melt being the best target for the first few turns of anti tank fire.

I would also look at getting a wold guard battle leader with jump pack (CHEAP AS!) and drop the plasma for flamers.This way in theory you'll wittle down any potential overwatch.

But tanks may be a real problem..

Thanks, I mostly agree with you. The flyer however shouldn't be priority target since it carries blood claws and not some expensive units while the enemy's anti tank usually targets the bikes, TWC and wulfen first. Or even terminators, if I manage to go first and they fail to charge. I wanted to take the land raider crusader over the flyer but I don't have the model.

Against tanks I have the long fangs, the stormwolf and some thunder hammers, this should be a close combat oriented list basically.

I'm short on bodies, I know, but the only alternative would be fielding lots of footslogging grey hunters, which is a different concept that I may try in a different list.

Arjac is great, I love him, but I've recently bought njal and never tried him yet, so he will be in the list The arjac + terminators + thunderwolves + bikes combo is one of my favorite built though.

Know the feeling! I ran some lists without Arjac for the same reason.

The Flyer is still a good target as 3 small squads will melt to a single turn of shooting in most cases. So how about an alternative?

Take advantage of the fact that every SW is a hero and run without any troops? Get a Vanguard and Outrider detatchment? Something like; ( dont have any books./app to hand)
