Hello everyone! I'm working on a project and I would love your help.
Im cataloguing all the popular to Simi popular miniatures games on the market for a game accessory I'm working on.
I want to design an organizer and transport like the one I built for x-wing and make it compatible with a great host of miniatures games.
link to the kickstarter is here http://kck.st/2gpMFn1
What I need is a list of the base sizes and their largest templates and an idea of their army composition rules like how many 50mm bases are likely to be in a force. here is my current list
let me know if I'm missing your favorite game or base size

You'll probably get relocated to the swap shop part of the forum, or blogs.
Good luck!

The Batman and DC Universe Miniatures Games by Knight Models are pretty easy to accommodate for, they have bases in 30mm, 40mm and 60mm. Interested to see how the project goes, something to easily carry crews between games at tournaments is a great idea!

yes I was looking into the batman game today. it looks great and makes me want to build a table based off the animated series!
could you help me understand how many figures are often used in the game? getting a look at the whole range is difficult. how many 60mm-40mm30mm are typically in a crew?

On other thing about GW bases you should know about: they are not always the sizes they claim to be. 60mm isn't 60mm, but 65mm for example.

An animated series board sounds awesome! There’s a hard cap in game for 12 models, and most crews are purely 30mm. There’s only 2 60mm base characters in production currently, and 40mm you usually won’t have more than 3/4, some crews being slightly more.

thank you! that is exactly what I needed to know!
does anyone know what force comps Infinity uses? Automatically Appended Next Post: Hanskrampf wrote:On other thing about GW bases you should know about: they are not always the sizes they claim to be. 60mm isn't 60mm, but 65mm for example.
Really?
is this guide accurate? I see it's from 2015 have there been new bases since then? someone at the store told me about 32MM bases and I wanted to puke.

I will likely try to pair down GW compatibility to individual armies or unit types. the product is mostly focused on skirmish stuff
"Base For the Base god"
- GW probably

I can help with this as well, most things are on 25mm bases in Infinity. Some more specialist units are on larger bases, but you would get no more than 4-5 of those in extreme cases. Basically comes down to between 8-16 25mm (accommodates all but the spammiest of lists infantry wise), and then 3-4 40mm, 3-4 55mm (both of these you could get away with 2-3 most of the time). As a 'special' tray you could do one made for the Maghariba Guard, as it is the only model in the range on a 70mm base
