Subject: First full game of Medge 80 pts karist vs epirian
Drew the mission forward unto victory which is breakthrough and demolition.
Epirians had 2 spider drone units, 1 contractor unit and 1 firefly unit.
Karist had 2 trooper units, 1 minnow unit and 1 temprst elite unit.
We played on a 4x4 board with lots of terrain as you can see in the picture.
Tempest elites along with the kaddar nova destroyed the demolishion objective in turn 4. Karists won after round 5.
The game went pretty fast and smooth thanks to the rules summary pages.
Bidding wars for reinforcements was fun. There was a need for reinforcements because things died a lot! Even though we were cautious to almost always stay in cover. Flanking units of fireflies and minnows were very deadly, but also very squishy.
I think the karists (me) won because of two things:
The double aerial drone strikes of the journeyman didn't do as good as could be expected.
4 tempest elites and kaddar nova on the karist faction objective standing in the middle of the map all game is murderous.
Anyway, my opponent is now looking at buying the starter box ☺
